Today could be the deadline to turn in entries just for Salida's annual Parade of Flashing lights, held Nov. 28 in conjunction with the amount of light of Christmas Mountain USA.
Posts can be turned in at The Mountain Deliver or at Heart of the Rockies Appropriate slot of Commerce.
Parade lineup starts with at 5: 30 p. mirielle. Nov. 28 at Fifth and as well F streets, with the parade starting on at 6 p. m. and as well progressing north on F Lane to Riverside Park.
Theme of this year's parade is "The Reason for the summer season. " All entries must have lamps. The parade is limited to 30 entries.
Nonprofit entry fee has become $5. Entry fee for performance groups is $10. Business sponsorships can be obtained.
First-place award in each kind is $50. Categories are walking, float, commercial and equestrian/animal.
March marshal is Lori Roberts, corporate director of Heart of the Rockies Chamber of Commerce. Honored as well as in the parade is Brittney Frank, whose mother, 9-year-old sister and as well 5-year-old brother were murdered regarding Fremont County in March.
